The missing MarkDown Windows Editor

I like taking notes in a simple format and MarkDown seems to be the language of choice for that. I also like it since it is simple to use. But I can’t find a MD Editor which really fulfills all my needs. Right now I am using Texts.io because of the first two points:

  • show the formatted text instead of the raw source
    Texts.io got that :)
  • write in source mode
    (i.e. I want to write ## Heading and it displays as Heading)
    Texts.io got that :)
  • ability to support math equations (why? I am using it to take notes for my university classes)
    and show them in real time
    Texts.io formats math blocks only on export :(
  • customizable themes
    Texts.io got that :)
  • unlimited heading levels
    Texts.io only has 3 levels :(
  • …

Maybe I will write something myself?
